With a full-bore design that eliminates flow restrictions, these valves maintain discharge consistency whether handling fine flour, granular plastics, or coarse aggregates. The air cylinder is directly coupled to the blade stem, reducing moving parts and ensuring straightforward maintenance without removing the valve from the line. Packing glands with self-adjusting live-loaded seals further extend service intervals, while optional limit switches and solenoid pilot valves simplify integration into automated process control networks.


The Pneumatic Sliding Gate Valve features a heavy-duty stainless steel or hard-chrome-plated blade that cuts through material head loads effortlessly. Its rigid cast iron or fabricated steel body can be configured with round, square, or rectangular flanges to match existing hopper, silo, or screw conveyor outlets. A fully enclosed bonnet shields the stem and actuator from dust ingress, while metallic or resilient seat options accommodate temperatures from -20°F to 500°F. The standard double-acting pneumatic cylinder operates on 80–100 psi plant air, and a manual override handwheel can be added for emergency operation. Blade deflection is controlled by precision-machined guide rails, which also protect the secondary packing from particulate contamination. Stroke adjustment stops allow fine-tuning of the open and closed positions, particularly useful for metering applications. For abrasive or sticky materials, specialized blade coatings and purge ports are available to prevent material buildup and extend component life.
