The wafer butterfly valve with worm gear is designed for efficient, reliable control of liquids, gases, or slurries in piping systems. This valve uses a circular disc (the "butterfly") as the closure mechanism, which rotates around an axis perpendicular to the flow. When the disc is turned, it either opens or closes the valve, thus regulating the flow of the medium.

Wafer-style Body: The wafer design is compact and lightweight, making it easy to install between flanges in a pipeline without requiring additional flange drilling. It is held in place using bolts that thread through the flanges and the valve body.

Worm Gear Operation: The valve is equipped with a worm gear actuator, which allows for manual operation. The worm gear mechanism reduces the effort required to operate the valve, providing precise control with minimal hand force.

Disc and Seat: The valve's disc is usually made from durable materials like stainless steel, and the seat is lined with an elastomer such as EPDM, PTFE, or rubber, ensuring a tight seal to prevent leaks.

Quarter-turn Valve: This type of valve is operated with a simple 90-degree turn of the handle or gear, making it a quick and efficient option for on/off or throttling applications.
