Analysis of Common Fault Causes of Air Valves

2024-10-11

As a vital control component in industrial production, the air valve undertakes the key task of regulating parameters such as the flow direction, flow rate and pressure of gas or liquid. However, in actual application, the air valve may encounter various faults, including but not limited to the inability to open or close normally, abnormal flow rate (too small or too large), and excessive noise.

Air Valve

1. Valve body blockage phenomenon

Valve body blockage is a common type of fault in the operation of air valves. Due to the impurities and sediments that may be contained in the gas or liquid medium, these substances may be deposited inside the valve body when flowing through the air valve, thereby blocking the valve channel and causing the air valve to be unable to perform its intended control function.

2. Degradation of sealing performance

The sealing components configured inside the air valve, such as O-rings, sealing rings and sealing sheets, will directly lead to the decline or failure of the sealing performance of the air valve due to aging, cracks or deformation, which will cause leakage problems and affect the control accuracy and efficiency of the air valve.

3. Spring dysfunction

As the core component of the opening and closing mechanism of the air valve, the performance status of the spring is crucial to the normal operation of the air valve. Failure or improper adjustment of the spring will directly hinder the normal opening and closing of the valve, thereby weakening the control effect of the valve.

4. Internal fouling and pollution

Over time, the inside of the valve may gradually accumulate contaminants such as scale and impurities. These contaminants may not only block the valve channel and affect the smooth operation of the valve, but also cause physical damage to the internal structure of the valve, further exacerbating the occurrence of failures.
